I invited my 8th graders to make up artwork that could be displayed for the Horry County school district's building. I was really pleased to see them utilize their creativity and eagerness to make something that would be admired by many people

This was a really fun activity. I got invited to come on down to decorate the MB Speedway's Pit Wall for its Grand Opening. I personally wanted to invite students that weren't in my class, but I also thought it would be a great idea to honor the students who worked so hard this year: whether not getting any referalls or students that improved their grades and behavior. Check out the work that my students made using glue sticks and recycled goods for Burroughs and Chapin's Art Museum the Art of Recycling contest.
I think the students really enjoyed this by being creative and putting work together that was just going to be thrown out.
And a big shout out to my students Skylar, Kaitlin and Rehanna for getting honorable mention on their sculpture "The Sprayer"
