After my students played around with the Manga Camera app, they would then edit the photos in Comic Book! You can see some other examples on a previous Manga Camera blog post
They then arranged all of the edited photos into Pages along with a caption for what was going on. Here are the PDF's and if you scroll down lower you will see the instructions I made up. These are just a few of the most colorful pages I saved in PDF's, every student saved their file as a Pages document to be inserted into an iBook in the near future.If you scroll down to the bottom of this post, you can find out how to do this with your class and the rubric to grade it with

My 7th graders and I compiled an ibook about their Toontastic cartoons and stories that they wrote. You can check out the complete Toontastic Memoir iBook or the previous lesson plan about using Toontastic as a Digital Storytelling tool
Each student had to read another student's work, and then provide feedback using the iBook's features.
Probably one of the neatest things was to highlight a particular passage, and then insert a note that gave a bit more feedback.
I had the 7th graders take a screen capture of this note, and then show it on Edmodo so that the classmates could see their feedback.
I think iBook has a LOT of potentials, especially when the students can now become content creators and not just content receivers.
By playing around with the iBooks author app and Bookry authoring web site I have been able to take the memoir writing that my 7th graders did using the Pages app along with the works of animation they made in Toontastic into an iBook
I am still tinkering around with the iBooks format but it would seem that the files can be found on the Bookry site to be downloaded as PDFs or in the iBook format
My first work is pretty much just text pasted from PDFs into an iBook based on 7-1 (2nd block's) writing
My second work is much better as I got to know the authoring program along with inserting Widget templates of Toontastic cartoons, pictures, feedback and more
